Section outline

    • Welcome to CARNIVAL course! Here you can find many useful links that will help you master the use of CARNIVAL.

    • CARNIVAL is a bioinformatics tool that automatically creates signaling networks that explain gene expression data.
The aim of the tool is to identify a subset of interactions from a prior knowledge network that represent potential regulated pathways linking known or potential targets of perturbation towards transcription factors that are automatically computed from gene expression. It integrates different sources of prior knowledge including signed and directed protein– protein interactions, transcription factor targets, and pathway signatures. It can be used to generate hypotheses on potential upstream alterations that propagate through signaling networks, providing insights into diseases.
